View looking north up the current Halifax Road from the site of Fort Wadsworth. In 1864 this was the site of Blick's Crossking near the Blick house on the Weldon & Petersburg Railroad. The original Halifax Road ran parallel to the railroad on its west side. General Mahone’s division came down the old Halifax Road and struck the railroad near this point scattering the Federal troops at work destroying the railroad.
